Call for Proposals: Day of DH at Western University

Western University invites proposals for lightning talks and poster presentations for our upcoming Day of DH, a campus-wide event celebrating the range and creativity of digital humanities work.
Day of DH is an opportunity for scholars, students, librarians, and community partners to share how digital methods and tools are shaping research, teaching, and engagement across the humanities and beyond. We welcome contributions from all disciplines and levels of experience—whether you’re launching a new project, sharing results from ongoing research, or experimenting with digital tools and creative practices.
Presentation Formats

Lightning Talks (7 minutes)
Concise, energetic presentations that highlight a project, idea, or challenge in digital humanities. Perfect for sharing works in progress, new collaborations, or lessons learned. -
Posters (physical or digital) & StoryMaps
Visual presentations showcasing DH projects, tools, workflows, or classroom initiatives. Posters may include demonstrations, interactive components, or prototypes. Digital posters will be shown on the screens available in the Scholar's Lab.

How to Submit
Please submit a short abstract (150–250 words) and a brief bio (50-100 words) via this submission link by January 30, 2026 (11:59pm).
